Summary:
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work in the Academic Unit of Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine and Surgery in the School of Clinical Dentistry. You will work on an externally funded project with the aim of investigating the role of novel chemokine and its receptor in trigeminal sensitization.
You will join the Integrated Biosciences Group, and will work within the neuroscience cluster with Professor Fiona Boissonade and Dr Emma Bird. The neuroscience cluster undertakes leading research into inflammatory and neuropathic pain and the management of peripheral nerve injuries.
You will hold a PhD (or equivalent experience) and have experience of preclinical models of nerve injury and repair and hold a current Home Office licence. In addition, you will have proven your ability to achieve deadlines and possess excellent written and oral communication skills
The post is available from 1 February 2014.
