Postdoc in Regenerative Medicine, Stem cells and Bioengineering

The current position is focused in the field of Regenerative Medicine, Stem cells and Bioiengineering. Ideally, we are seeking PosDoc candidates with knoledge in hematopoietic stem cells, endometrioal physisology and /or 3D-printing and bioengineering. Experience with aninal work is required.
Our main aim is the reconstruction of the human endometrium in patients with Asherman syndrome or endometrial atrophy by autologous transplantation of the Bone Marrow Derived Stem cells. The proposed specific objectives are to validate the BMDSC cell therapy in a Clinical Trial and develop structures to create bioengeneered endometrium and transplantation in an animal model.
The current state of our basic knowledge about endometrial stem cells together with the advances in the field of organ bioengineering and uterine transplantation, let this approach to emerge as an important and innovative therapeutic tool for regenerative medicine.
Team members are part of the Collaborative Research Unit in Reproductive Medicine, stablished in December 2017 between the University of Valencia (UVEG) and the Fundación Genética por la Vida (FGV). This team offers a unique expertise in Reproductive Medicine, especially in the field of human endometrial biology.
