Offer Description
The SoupLab laboratory of the Institute of Marine Engineering in Rome (CNR- INM) is hiring a postdoctoral researcher to perform novel work in the field of flow induced vibrations, with application to microplastic removal from water. The work will involve the implementation of optical flow diagnostic techniques (PIV, LDV, holography, microscopic volumetric PIV, etc), the development of microfluidic devices and the implementation of electrokinetic principles. The candidate should have a PhD in Mechanical, Physics, or Aerospace engineering and at least two years of relevant research experience following the PhD. Knowledge in optics, data acquisition, scientific languages (C, Python, Matlab) is necessary. Specific knowledge on multiphase flows, electrokinetics, optical design, mechanical design is a welcome plus. Demonstrated experimental background is required. The candidate must have eligible status to work in Europe.
